J. Patrick Johnson, MD, recently participated in a study that examined the cost-effectiveness of peptide enhanced bone graft i-FACTOR versus the use of local autologous bone in anterior cervical discectomy and fusion surgery.
The study suggested that i-FACTOR marginally reduced costs, had fewer complications, and showed a statistically non-significant reduction in surgical intervention over ninety days as compared with the control group.
